July 2008
Wow! What a year it has been. So many things have happened and yet not a single web update. With any luck, this will change with more frequent updates and additions. Here is a little sample of all the goings on for this year.
We have new black belts and newly promoted black belts. Congratulations to Sara, Gavin, and Jarrett for obtaining the rank of black belt! Also congratulations are in order for Blake for obtaining 2nd degree Poom and Drew obtaining 3rd degree. For those who missed our black belt test missed and interesting 3 day test. The theme was BMA Gladiators and each testing candidate had to fight their way through various challenges to become the new BMA Gladiator. Pictures will be coming soon, as soon as I figure out the few glitches in our pictures section. Events included Assault, Joust, and Gauntlet.
Summer fun camp has come and gone, and what a fun time it was. We had two sessions, each lasting a week for each session. Children 5-12 were invited to join Beaches Martial Arts for fun activities such as Fear Factor, Arts and Crafts, making of the band, and so much more. If you missed our camp, don't fret. It will be coming back again next year. Dates for next years camp will be posted during the spring of next year. It is expected to happen soon after Duval County Public Schools lets out.
We have a tournament coming up! Yesha ministries will be hosting an open style tournament July 19th. Those who are interested call Heather or Ryan for the paperwork and tournament information.
